It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a… flying baby? Spotted by Fubiz, Rachel Hulin’s ongoing series Flying Babies — which will be published as a book by powerHouse next April — brought an enormous smile to our faces on this muggy Friday morning. There’s something absolutely delightful about seeing these little guys floating around a range of different locations, from the relative safety of the bedrooms and hallways of their homes to the untamed wilds of the great outdoors; Hulin has managed to take a concept that could have felt repetitive or gimmicky, and created images that are both clever and artful. That said, we can’t imagine how we’d react if we ever spotted one of these gravity-defying tots in person. It would probably involve a fishing net.
