Over the weekend we headed to Union Square to check out Burning ICE, artist Chin Chih Yang’s interactive installation made from 21,000 pounds of ice meant to symbolize humans’ catalyzing effect on climate change. More images after the jump.

It's wonderful that an artist can take something as massive as climate change and symbolize it in something so simple and easy to experience.

i wish i had seen this! too cool… or should i say cold (yes, i know that was bad). Though i probably wouldn't have wanted to sit on the ice benches.
