In 100, a wonderful, touching little film, Dutch filmmaker Jeroen Wolf re-creates the span of a lifetime in a mere 150 seconds, with the help of 100 different subjects, each one a year older than the last. Not only is the film a meditation on a lifespan (and how quickly it goes by), but it’s a exploration of humanity itself — each one of Wolf’s subjects looks like they could be the star of their own film, chock full of personality and everything from joy to wistfulness.
