Rate-a-Trailer: Clive Owen in The Boys Are Back

In the latest from Shine director Scott Hicks, which is based on Simon Carr’s 2001 memoir The Boys Are Back In Town, Clive Owen plays Joe Warr, a successful sports writer who tragically loses his wife and is forced to raise their young son alone. He imports in his teenager from a previous marriage, who has presumably been living with his mother, to help out. It looks like a bit of a tearjerker (in fact, Owen cries twice in the trailer), but it’s nice to see him in more of an everyday, family drama instead of a period piece or heist flick, don’t you think?
