Around this time last year we told you about artist Ray Villafane, a man who creates some of the most intricately detailed and totally disturbing carved pumpkins that we’ve ever seen. Now, thanks to a post on My Modern Met, we found out what he’s been up to lately: transforming three of the largest pumpkins in the US — including one that weighed in at a whopping 1,872 pounds — into terrifying, life sized zombies that are currently on display at the New York Botanical Garden. Click through to check out a few photos snapped by Flickr user redwingx, as well as video footage of the carving master in action.
