Fantasy fans, prepare to seriously nerd out. Some brilliant person over at MTV Geek convinced a reluctant George R.R. Martin to play a few rounds of “GRR vs. JRR” — in other words, to weigh in on what would happen if the characters from his A Song of Ice and Fire series went to battle with the inhabitants of Middle Earth. His responses are just as thoughtful as you’d expect, but like our friends at The Mary Sue, we’re going to have to politely disagree with what he says about Gimli winning in a match up against Gregor Clegane. The man is called the Mountain That Rides for a good reason, George! You of all people should know that.
