Today at Flavorpill, we watched a video featuring Nathan Fillion in a doctor’s outfit, some puppets, and Neil Patrick Harris’ trouser weasel (don’t worry — it’s not as dirty as it sounds). We were thrilled to hear that Katheryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty nabbed the National Board of Review’s Best Film honor. We were impressed by this animatronic version of the adorable animated Pixar lamp. We appreciated this piece by Thomas Beller on the difference between experiencing and recording a moment in the iPhone age. We laughed out loud over the Honest Trailer for The Dark Knight Rises. We got to know Jay-Z’s new BFF. We listened to “AtTENTion,” a new track from M.I.A. that we assume is supposed to distract us all from the fact that she’s yet to release a new record. And finally, we got our first real look at Gavin Hood’s film adaptation of Ender’s Game. What do you think of Harrison Ford as Colonel Graff?
