Sneaker brand Jim Rickey commissioned Stockholm-based photographer Christian Åslund for their latest ad campaign — which we learned about on Colossal. The artist responded with a series of images that transformed the streets of Hong Kong into a retro live-action videogame. Taken from dizzying heights, and toying with perspective and the bold urban landscape, Åslund’s work makes us think of our favorite vintage platformers and sidescrollers — like Super Mario Bros. or Mega Man.
