Happy 300th Birthday, Flavorpill LA!

Today’s Los Angeles issue marks an internal milestone here at Flavorpill HQ — our 300th week of bringing progressive culture to the attention of discerning readers in search of the “real” City of Angels. We’re pretty proud of ourselves, and took the opportunity for a bit of enlightened self-admiration, rear-view mirror style.

Translation: after the jump we’ve compiled a very short list of some of our favorite listings across the years, celebrating the strange and beautiful world of L.A. arts and music, patting ourselves on the back for some early picks and star-making moments, or just pointing to some particularly dashing prose. Enjoy and please feel free to nominate any good ones that you think we missed in the comments area. Thanks for letting us tell you what to do all these weeks, and here’s to 300 more!

Love your humble servant, Shana Nys Dambrot Managing Editor, Flavorpill LA
