Cecilia Paredes, who we discovered on Photojojo, sees her portraits of camouflage bodies (often her own) set against ornate wallpaper as landscapes. Flora and fauna decorate painted figures, creating incredible depth and detail. Paredes also describes the work as “photoperformance,” since the models quietly interact with the patterns to create a narrative. If that sounds too serious, you can simply appreciate Paredes’ works for the beautiful illusion. See more photos in our gallery.
