Dark Mug Shots Transformed Into Lovely Hand-Woven Portraits

Mug shots make for excellent artwork, especially vintage shots that are able to tell stories to those who stumble across them. Like Eric Daigh’s push-pin portraits, artist Joanne Arnett plays with a particularly sinister source and lightens the subject with the use of hand-woven fabric, allowing the images to breathe new life on the canvas as well in the photographs that depict them.
