London-based identical twin brothers and noted stop-motion animators the Brothers Quay won the 1998 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Set Design for their work on a revival of Eugene Ionesco’s The Chairs. These images are from Dormitorium: An Exhibition of Film Decors by the Quay Bros., an exhibition of their sets which originated at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and just wrapped up a run at Parsons The New School for Design. It was the first time that their work had been on display in North America.
