Everyone has Olympic fever right now, which is why this collaboration between California-based photographer Tim Tadder and Paris-based digital artist Christian Girotto feels so timely. Tadder photographed modern-day athletes in poses reminiscent of classic Greek and Roman statues, and Girotto retouched the bodies in the portraits to look like they’re porcelain figures. It takes such athletic physiques to otherworldly heights — and, at the very least, makes me want to actually use my gym membership (although I probably won’t).
