Flavorwire Premiere: Jon Langford — “Sugar On Your Tongue”

Share:

You probably know Jon Langford from the Mekons, the band with which he recorded a whopping 18 albums, but he’s been a prolific talent over the years, contributing to a bewildering variety of musical projects. He’s also a visual artist, with a particular liking for painting country music luminaries — he’s done portraits of Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and Elvis Presley, amongst others. Langford is back to music with a new album called Here Be Monsters, recorded with his band Skull Orchard. It’s out on April 1 via In De Goot Recordings, and we’re thrilled to premiere a new track, “Sugar on Your Tongue,” along with all the artwork from the album. Langford created said artwork himself, making one piece for each song.
