In an intentional leak similar to what the network did with Flashforward, a first look of ABC’s V is here. What we’ve got is the first 9 and a half minutes of the pilot episode (allegedly the best part) for the series, which premieres November 3. Watch the video after the jump.
In the clip, you get an introduction to the main characters and the arrival of the Visitors (hence the V). Viewers will recognize most of the cast including Elizabeth Mitchell of LOST fame and Scott Wolf from Party of Five and Everwood. The clip culminates in the arrival of an alien vessel over the metropolis a la Independence Day. In fact, it’s so similar to the popular 1996 film, that one character actually makes mention of it.
So far, it’s got us excited; hopefully ABC has gotten over the production and scheduling issues we have been hearing about, and we can get on to the aliens and the guessing game over their purpose here on Earth. From what is shown in the clip, Scott Wolf’s character might have a tryst with the alien named Anna, played by the lovely Morena Baccarin. Could it be procreational?
