Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time has been the network’s greatest show for six seasons now. The surreal animated comedy follows the adventures of best friends Finn and Jake throughout the post-apocalyptic and magical Land of Ooo. It’s widely praised for its inventive writing, but Adventure Time also boasts distinctive and beautiful visuals. Adventure Time: The Original Cartoon Title Cards (Vol. 1) celebrates the unique designs of the show’s title cards, with sketches, final art, quotes, and commentary from the artists. The book is out September 23, but Flavorwire has an exclusive look at some pages focusing on the Season 1 episode “Business Time” that show the evolution of the artwork and the inspiration behind it.
