Last month, Lana Del Rey started teasing a new song called “Honeymoon” on her Instagram account. With its references to the streets of Los Angeles and its tragic lyrics about how loving her is unfashionable but Mr. Born To Lose does it anyway, “Honeymoon” was shaping up to be peak LDR.
Now the song, an orchestral ballad with militaristic percussion, has arrived online in all its cool, dark glamour. Listen below.
“Honeymoon” is the first snippet heard from Lana Del Rey’s forthcoming third album, also titled Honeymoon. She announced at a show in May that the album will be out this September. The LP follows up last year’s Ultraviolence.
