Watch: ‘Jurassic Park: High Heels Edition’ Box Set Puts Every Character — Human and Dino Alike — in Uncomfortable Footwear

The general consensus about gender roles in Jurassic World was that they were pretty trite and somewhat backward — but one gendered symbol that complicated this notion was Bryce Dallas Howard’s high heels. To many, her character’s ease at sporting stilettos throughout the film seemed a statement about women’s ability to endure — and come out on top of — monumental struggles, like dinosaurs running amok and pain-inducing beauty standards. Since her character’s footwear became one of the most discussed features of the film, it’d seem that the best way to re-market earlier Jurassic films would thus be to incorporate more uncomfortable, clacking footwear into them — which is just what XVP Comedy has done.

In their spoof video, they present a new box set of every film in the franchise, all of which have been digitally remastered, with CGI heels placed on the feet of every character, be they female, male, dinosaur or automobile.
