Weezer’s new video for “Go Away” (off Everything Will Be Alright in the End) features Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino as an everyday girl unimpressed by the collection of unflattering profile pictures Rivers Cuomo compulsively uploads on a dating app similar to Tinder, called “Winder.”
In the video, the obsessive Cuomo embarks on an epic photo shoot with his buddy, Weezer guitarist Brian Bell, as his iPhone photographer. Cuomo poses for multiple shoots in the guise of punk, stock-broker, vinyl enthusiast, and surfer dude before resorting to his own clothes for the right profile picture, and finally woos Cosentino dressed, simply, as himself.
