An Emoji Game Show is in the Works

The Great Emoji Challenge may be coming to a boob tube near you. A new game show is being developed for television that will find contestants challenged by decoding a series of emojis. Players can win up to $1 million if their emoji game is on point — which means all those nonsensical late-night talks with your drunk best friend have really paid off. Undercover Boss producer Studio Lambert is pitching the show to studios, which is extra attractive to TV heads since, as Deadline reminds us, there was that giant bidding war over an animated emoji movie. This comes following the sprouting of the tiny ideograms in places like social networks — such as the all-emoji, wordless “chat” clients Emoji.li and Emojicate. Depressed yet?
