Amy Schumer’s HBO special will premiere on October 17th, at which point 2015 will no longer be called 2015, but rather, simply, “Amy Schumer.” A trailer for the event has been released, and can be viewed below.
With season 3 of Inside Amy Schumer having been an immense hit and Trainwreck having become one of the year’s biggest comedies, Schumer has risen very quickly to megastar status (and has recently been in the news for teaming up with her Senator cousin in support of more rigid gun control laws) — this HBO special will give her a chance to appeal on as wide-reaching a level with her standup alone.
It was shot in the revered Apollo Theatre and was directed by none other than Chris Rock; watch the trailer:
