As Ryan Murphy recently remarked at the Television Critics Association tour, Lady Gaga has had her first shooting days for American Horror Story: Hotel, in which she’ll play the extravagant hotel owner, Elizabeth. Murphy described the character as a “wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people… [and] has nefarious plans.” And now, said wealthy social doyenne has a dress. The first photos of Gaga on set emerged today, revealing her bedecked in a dramatic, highly twirl-able gown.
The filming took place at LACMA (some of the photos show Chris Burden’s “Urban Light” in the background). Here are a few images:
Out notes that Murphy and the cast seem to be getting along (literally) swimmingly with Gaga, as earlier this week, she threw an AHS party for which she filled her pool with blood-red dye:
