And outside of a completely forgettable TV biopic in 2003, few have attempted to blend the drama of Lucy’s real personal/married life with the hilarity of her onscreen personal/married life. But soon, according to The Wrap, Cate Blanchett will.
While such news will probably have most everyone who reads it overjoyed, some may be a little less thrilled by the more-polarizing screenwriter behind the project: Aaron Sorkin. He’ll be attempting to capture the 20 year marriage between Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz in his script for the authorized biopic, which Ball/Arnaz’s children Lucy and Desi, Jr. are producing. Neither Blanchett nor her representatives have commented yet on the news.
