Netflix Shares the First Teaser for Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones,’ Reveals November Release Date

The next Marvel series on Netflix, Jessica Jones, will go live on the streaming network November 20, according to a just-released teaser trailer.

The series, originally called AKA Jessica Jones, stars Kyrsten Ritter as a former superhero who, after losing her powers, suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and becomes a private detective. In comic book lore, Jones is married to super hero Luke Cage, played by Mike Colter. In the show, Cage and Jones will reportedly date, introducing the central character in the third of Netflix’s four Marvel series.

The new teaser vaguely outlines Jones’ background with an interestingly colorful (yet simultaneously noir!) aesthetic. (Netflix’s first Marvel series, Daredevil, also struck a balance between superhero camp and dark, pulpy atmosphere.)

All 13 Season 1 episodes will be available for streaming on the series’ release. Watch the teaser:
