Transparent showrunner Jill Soloway has announced that the show is welcoming Anjelica Huston for season two. The transgender-themed series, which is nominated for 11 Emmy awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, has already been renewed for a third season. Huston will play a “new friend” of Jeffrey Tambor’s character Maura. “They have a lot of chemistry… palpable chemistry,” Soloway told Variety. “It was palpable. I was directing them together and I was watching through the monitor.” She also suggested that Huston might be back for the third season. Soloway described the second season as “wild” and “wacky” — and if anyone can handle that, it’s Morticia Addams. Huston has been sticking to voice work for the past several years, so it will be great to see her back in action. In 2013, Huston directed a short for Donna Karen titled Haven’t We Met Before?, starring Felicity Jones and Jack Davenport, which you can watch over here. The new season of the Amazon Studios’ produced comedy-drama will air on December 4.
