When was the last time you thought about Angry Birds? It had been awhile, hadn’t it? Well, here’s a preemptive apology. You may have been happy to have forgotten about those tiny weaponized birds when you deleted the game off your phone months ago, but now there’s a trailer for The Angry Birds Movie, so, here goes.

According to /Film, The Angry Birds Movie will explain “why the birds are so angry.” The Angry Birds‘ game lore always led us to believe the birds didn’t freak out until the pigs stole their eggs. Based on the trailer, there’s a much deeper story that has to be told.

In The Angry Birds Movie, Jason Sudeikis plays the red bird, aptly named “Red,” who lives in a village of birds with Chuck, the yellow triangle bird (Josh Gad) and Bomb, the bomb-shaped one (Danny McBride), among others. Red is already very angry by the time the pigs show up, led by bearded pig Bill Hader — but presumably that will be the straw that puts the bird in the catapult.

The cast also features Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, and Peter Dinklage. The birds, the pigs, and the anger will make their film debut on May 20, 2016.

Anyway, here’s this:
