Maybe a Hollywood Boulevard tattoo parlor and the Getty make strange bedfellows at first blush. But tattooist and artist Graham Chaffee regularly finds inspiration within the museum’s incredible collections.“When you can see the artist’s hand in the work, you make a visceral connection to what you’re doing,” he says. “It makes the art less remote, more touchable.”

If you’ve been similarly inspired by the art, places, or people of the Getty, the museum wants to hear from you! They’re featuring the work of Los Angeles’ creative community on #GettyInspired now. For more information, visit www.getty.edu or Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram: @theGetty.
