Netflix is on a revival role that, depending on how much you prize both originality and finitude, will either make your nostalgic heart leap or make you want to smash things. After having brought back the thought-to-be-dead Arrested Development, having turned Wet Hot American Summer into a TV show, and having announced a Full House revival — Netflix is playing medium for yet another TV séance. They’ve allegedly closed a deal with Warner Brothers to produce a limited series revival of Gilmore Girls.

Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and exec producer Daniel Palladino will be writing all of the episodes. And according to TVLine, who announced the news, Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson are all likely to return. However, one notable difference is the form: it’s rumored that it’ll consist of four 90-minute “mini movies” that will let the Palladinos have the last word on the show they created. (They left prior to the last season because of contract disagreements).
