Tom Ford is releasing the second annual Lips & Boys collection — with 50 shades of lipstick “inspired by notable men” in the designer’s life. Drake happens to be one of those men, and thus logic would and does follow that Drake will become a lipstick — and could become your lipstick for $32 come October 30. (Reportedly, another notable man-turned-lipstick is Jake Gyllenhaal).
This is something of a reversal of a previous incident: Drake named a song, “Tuscan Leather,” after the Tom Ford fragrance, and now Ford seems to be sending product-based messages of flattery right back at the rapper. (The press release for the lipstick even allegedly acknowledges the connection.) The shade will be deep burgundy. Drake-the-lipstick will also be packaged as a “mini travel-sized tube.” And, of course, all sorts of innuendos about lips, tubes, Drake lips, Drake tubes, etc. already abound.
