These Gorgeous ’70s-Style Movie Posters Will Test Your Cult-Film Knowledge

Share:

No decade is more closely associated with cult film than the 1970s, which is probably why its aesthetic seems so well suited to Van Orton Design’s lovely set of posters celebrating the work of directors like Stanley Kubrick, Quentin Tarantino, and Wes Anderson. These colorful designs, which we discovered via Beautiful/Decay, have a sort of stained-glass look to them. And since only a few actually include the title of the movie they depict, they off a great opportunity to test your knowledge of cult classics. Click through for a selection of our favorite posters from the Turin, Italy-based illustration/design/music duo, and visit their Behance page to check your guesses, see the full series, and learn more about their work.
