It’s been more than a year since the release of El-P and Killer Mike’s great Run the Jewels 2, but the duo decided to make a late night appearance on Jimmy Kimmel anyway, where they performed “Run the Jewels” and “Crown.” (Well, they do have a sweater to promote.)
It’s rare to see late night performances infused with such energy, especially from an act that isn’t necessarily wanting for more acclaim. Though, the Middle America vote couldn’t hurt. But if that’s what they’re after, they should have brought some of the cats from their latest remix album up onto the stage. Middle America loves some cats!
