The First ‘Twin Peaks’ Teaser Is Basically a Tourism Spot for the Pacific Northwest

The good news is that Showtime has released the very first trailer for David Lynch’s upcoming Twin Peaks miniseries. The bad news is that Twin Peaks is still over a year away, so maybe it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the “teaser” has hardly any footage from the new show.

Instead, it’s basically a paean to the (admittedly considerable) natural beauty of the show’s setting, complete with testimonial, plus some production shots. We’d be lying if we said the mere sight of crew members setting up the famous “WELCOME TO TWIN PEAKS” sign didn’t get us excited, but let’s call a spade a spade: this isn’t so much a “teaser” as a “teaser of a teaser of a trailer of a show.” Welcome to 2015!
