Ashley Judd is the Newest ‘Twin Peaks’ Revival Cast Member

Ashley Judd, who had a starring spot as a retired CIA agent in the canceled ABC series Missing, will return to TV for David Lynch’s Twin Peaks reboot. The surreal series is set to premiere on Showtime in 2017. Deadline reported the news, but does not indicate what role Judd will play in the show. Twin Peaks originally aired in 1990 and centered on the murder of high school student Laura Palmer.

In other Twin Peaks news, series co-creator Mark Frost will reportedly make a cameo along with his father, Warren Frost, who played Dr. Will Hayward during the show’s original run.

So far, the show’s new names include: Amanda Seyfried, Naomi Watts, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Laura Dern, Robert Knepper, James Belushi, Tom Sizemore, Balthazar Getty, Grant Goodeve, Larry Clarke and Caleb Landry Jones. Returning cast members include: Kyle MacLachlan is reportedly being joined by Sheryl Lee, Sherilyn Fenn, Mädchen Amick, Michael Horse, Dana Ashbrook and Miguel Ferrer, Ray Wise, Grace Zabriskie, Peggy Lipton, and Everett McGill.
