Have you heard? Ryan Gosling is starring in a Ridley Scott-produced Blade Runner sequel, and Harrison Ford is reprising his role as Rick Deckard. The title? Oh, who cares about a title when it’s got a release date: January 12, 2018 — the weekend of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, possibly setting it up for a gigantic opening weekend.

It was written by Hampton Fancher, who co-wrote the original 1982 film. The untitled sequel will be directed by Denis Villeneuve, who directed 2015’s Sicario and 2013’s Prisoners, so it should be in good hands. Principal photography begins in July of 2016.

No word on the film’s plot, but Scott recently teased at the film’s intro. Also, it will take place several decades after the events of the first movie. But will Adam Driver star as Rick Deckard’s son?
