Jill Soloway and Amazon: a creator/content provider match made in Heaven? Seems like it, as Soloway has just inked a deal to create a feature-length, female-centric film for the Internet company. It’s called Ten Aker Wood, and its the third project she’s taken on for Amazon.

It was announced today that Soloway will co-write the film with Sarah Grubbins, who will also serve as co-writer on Soloway’s recently announced adaptation of Chris Kraus’ I Love Dick. The film will reportedly be about a woman who, freshly divorced, relocates to a pot farm and gets married to a biker, so, sounds very much like Soloway’s post-legalization Eat, Pray, Love. She also told Variety that the film was a somewhat “autobiographical.”

Why the title Ten Aker Wood, though? Was it inspired by this island-bound mansion? Probably not. Anyway, glad that Soloway is keeping busy, as she has remained one of the freshest voices in the business ever since working on HBO’s Six Feet Under. Aside from creating the award-winning Transparent, she also produced the web series The Skinny — read an interview with that show’s star and creator, Jessie Kahnweiler, here.
