Today, ANOHNI, formerly of Antony and the Johnsons, went on BBC Radio’s Angie Mac show and debuted “Drone Bomb Me,” a new track from her upcoming album, Hopelessness. Since then, the video for the track has been released. It stars Naomi Campbell and was directed by Givenchy’s Creative Director Riccardo Tisci.
The video is striking in its spareness, Campbell and a group of modern dancers decked out in what is probably Givenchy. Campbell cries and lip syncs the song, which is truly devastating in its lyrics:
“Hello, drone bomb me/ Blow me from the mountains/ and into the sea/ Blow me from the side of the mountain/ Blow my head off/ Explode my crystal guts/ Lay my purple on the grass.”
