Otherworldly Aerial Photos of Icelandic Landscapes

Share:

Zack Seckler traveled across Iceland in an ultralight aircraft to capture otherworldly aerial photos of the breathtaking landscape. The vastness of the tundra and its natural forms and colors are astonishing. The abstract forms are immersive, but the hint of animals like birds and seals in each scene grounds the images in Seckler’s awe-inspiring journey and the physicality of Iceland’s stunning vistas. The artist does not set his large-scale photos behind glass to preserve a three-dimensional experience. Seckler is exhibiting the series Iceland at New York’s Robin Rice Gallery through May 8.
