During a Netflix panel at the Television Critics Association press tour, Arrested Development showrunner Mitchell Hurwitz revealed that he’s aiming to start shooting season five of the series at the beginning of 2017. From The Mary Sue:

Hurwitz said he’s also been working with a team of writers on the stories to be told in a prospective fifth season, adding, ‘It’s the thing I’m really desperate to do. We’ve got a lot of the stories broke and we’re ready to go.’

Cast details aren’t available at this time. The greatest issue with a new season, of course, is matching everyone’s schedules now that cast members like Will Arnett and Jeffrey Tambor are busy with projects like The Lego Batman Movie and Transparent, respectively.
