Dead Feminists: Historic Heroines in Living Color, arriving on shelves next week, is a book of poster art celebrating 27 extraordinary women from history. A collaboration between Chandler O’Leary and Jessica Spring with a forward by Jill Lepore, the book features poster art and illustrated explanations, organized by action verbs like “build,” “make,” “lead” and “share.” It’s an effort to put feminist history into memorable, beautiful context. Part of the proceeds are even going to a charitable fund to help young women in Tacoma, Washingon.
