Trippy Photos of Halloween Masks

Trick-or-treaters are prepping their best costumes and having candy-coated dreams about Halloween, which is quickly approaching. British photographer Wilson Hennessy has captured a unique perspective on the spooky holiday ritual of going door to door asking for sweet treats. His Trick or Treaters series presents a trippy view of Halloween masks. “The original inspiration was trick or treaters on my porch approaching my front door,” the artist told Inspiration Grid. “I would view them, lit by my porch light above them, through the distorted glass of my front door. The idea evolved slightly to simplify the picture into a really graphic, colourful, image which intrigues and draws you in until you recognize the characters you are looking at. Each image is shot through a pane of Straight Reed Obscured Glass suspended above the masks.” See a clown, devil, princess, and superhero mask take on a spooky new form in our gallery.
