Kate Bosworth to Play Sharon Tate in Manson Book Adaptation

Straw Dogs and Superman Returns actress Kate Bosworth is attached to a yet-to-be-named film based on the Greg King book Sharon Tate and the Manson Murders, to be directed by her husband Michael Polish.

The filmmaker has directed Bosworth before in Amnesiac and 90 Minutes in Heaven. Tate, of course, was the promising young actress married to Roman Polanski who was murdered by members of the Manson family in 1969 when she was pregnant with Polanski’s baby. According to Deadline, “the biopic, which will look at Tate’s career, marriage and other relationships she had in Hollywood.” Polish assures that he will “approach this film with a careful consideration, both from a visual sense and by crafting her story truthfully and with the dignity she deserves.”
