Queen of the Bernie-Bros and Hollywood notable Susan Sarandon has thrown her gravitas behind third party Troll Jill Stein, exciting Jill Stein’s small but irritating contingent of supporters and exasperating the rest of us who admire Sarandon’s work in such films as Thelma and Louise, Dead Man Walking, and Rocky Horror Picture Show, as well as her previously inspiring liberal activism.
It’s not surprising, given the actress’s recent comments about how a Trump victory will usher in the revolution, but still, you’d think after Pussygate and other October surprises, she’d reconsider throwing a teensy-tiny bit of support to Trump’s primary opponent.
Not so.

I’m therefore very happy to endorse Jill Stein for the presidency because she does stand for everything I believe in. It’s clear a third party is necessary and viable at this time. And this is the first step in accomplishing this end. Fear of Donald Trump is not enough for me to support Clinton, with her record of corruption. Now that Trump is self-destructing, I feel even those in swing states have the opportunity to vote their conscience. Susan Sarandon
To editorialize further, I would just note that while yes, a third party would probably be good, fear of Donald Trump is definitely enough to motivate any ethical and legal behavior in the universe. Go right ahead, readers, and let fear of Donald Trump be your guide here!
Sarandon’s previous favorite is Ralph Nader, who messed up big-time with his presidential runs, but at least had done something admirable with his life until his ignominious heel turn in 2000.
