Ava DuVernay announced on Twitter yesterday that principal photography for her film adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time had wrapped — and with that announcement she honored many of the actors and crew members she’d worked with with a gleeful tweeted photo montage from the set, with a couple of (small) stills from the film included.
Among the cast members who received twitter tributes were Storm Reid (the film’s 13-year-old star, playing Meg Murry), Mindy Kaling (Mrs. Who), Reese Witherspoon (Mrs. Whatsit), Oprah Winfrey (Mrs. Which), André Holland (Principal Jenkins), Levi Miller (Calvin O’Keefe), Deric McCabe (Charles Wallace Murry), and Rowan Blanchard (whose role hasn’t yet been announced.)
As Entertainment Weekly points out, the above photos likely hail from California and New Zealand — the two locations in which the film shot between 2016 and 2017.
This might be the most you see of A Wrinkle for a while, as it won’t be arriving in theaters until April 6, 2018.
