Amazing Stephen King-Inspired Artwork from Gallery 1988

It’s not like he ever receded from the popular consciousness, but Stephen King is having himself a moment, thanks to the forthcoming big-screen, high-profile adaptations of It , The Dark Tower , Gerald’s Game, and 1922 (and maybe even The Stand, though we’ll believe that when we see it), as well as TV series spun from The Mist and Mr. Mercedes (and maybe even The Talisman, though we’ll believe that when we see it). So it’s as good a time as any for our friends at LA’s Gallery 1988 to pay tribute to the King of Horror, and they’ve done just that with their new show “King.” It’s on display through May 27, but don’t worry if you’re not in driving distance (or if your car is a ’58 Plymouth Fury that’s been acting kinda funny); we’ve put together a selection of some of our favorite pieces from the show.
