Fairy-Tale Images of Moscow in the Snow

Share:

Snowfall in Russia isn’t terribly unusual – see literally any stock caricature of a Russian, in their furry hats and winter coats and so on. But Moscow really got it earlier this week, with 18 inches of powder dumped over the city over roughly 36 hours on Sunday and Monday, covering the city in a giant blanket of snow.

And then the photographers came out.

Gifted Russian shutterbug Kristina Makeeva hit the streets and took some jaw-dropping photos of the winter wonderland, which came to our attention on Bored Panda. Here are a few of our favorites; check out the rest of her work on Instagram.
