Nan Lawson’s annual “Meet Cute” show at Gallery1988 has become one of our favorite Valentine’s Day traditions, in which the gifted artist unveils her latest series of works inspired by beloved pop culture pairings. Last year’s batch included shout-outs to Twin Peaks, The X-Files, Buffy, and Bob’s Burgers; for “Meet Cute 3,” she has wonderful new pieces inspired by Carol, Pulp Fiction, Parks & Rec, and many more.

The show is up at Gallery1988 through Feb. 16th, so it’s a perfect Valentine’s Day date for you Los Angelenos; the rest of us can check out the highlights in our gallery, and the full show at Gallery1988’s website.
