Jaw-Dropping Music Memorabilia Up for Auction This Weekend

Prince's guitar, Kurt Cobain's cardigan, Madonna's dress, Bob Dylan's lyric sheet, and more rock objects we're dying to buy.

I love Prince. Who doesn’t? As an avowed Prince fan, I sure would love to own the black Taylor 612-CE acoustic guitar that he used on his 2004 Musicology tour, and good news: now I can buy it, thanks to  “Rock Icons” from Julien’s Auctions, with items up for bid on Saturday. All I need is somewhere between $60,000 and $80,000 (estimated)! Have I mentioned that I am a freelance culture writer? Any of you rich readers want to buy me an acoustic guitar? Or any of these other amazing items?

If so – or if you just want to buy something for yourself, rude – you can head over to New York’s Hard Rock Cafe and go nuts. And if you’re not in New York, you can bid online here. But there are over 600 items, so yours truly went to the trouble of sifting through them all to find the best (and, often, priciest):
