We’re pleased to announce that after a year of dating, comic book god Neil Gaiman and singer/songwriter goddess Amanda Palmer are engaged. At least we think they are. Gaiman tweeted a pic of Palmer two days ago (somehow this news is just now hitting the interwebs), and it’s hard to miss the lovely ring on her left hand. Although the text of the tweet provides no details and fails to mention the word “engagement,” we’re freaking out like an overexcited yenta — this picture is all we need, right? (Click through for a larger image.) Unless this is just part of yet another crazy book collaboration…

I’m so disappointed to hear about the Gaiman/Palmer Scientology connection. I respected them both, but this new information sheds a different light on them for me. Amanda especially seems like such a free-thinker, what on earth got a hold of her?
You are either in or out with Scientology. Gaiman is still connected to his family and pouring money into the Scientology coffers, so Palmer is also in.
