Not appropriate for those over 13.
When I first opened it I thought it would be cool because it looked so cool. The design aspect of it is great.
However, once I started reading, it reminded me of something I’d do in my notebook when I was 10 years old and be so proud of at the time. Until finding it when I was 13 and being so embarrassed at how ignorant I was musically.
What is the Nine Inch Nails, Poison, Cannibal Corpse line supposed to be? And that’s somehow different than the Bon Jovi, Television, Bob Marley line? Half of it just seems to be picked out of a hat. It’s cute if you’re 10…but…
No Phish? Fail.
This is a disgrace. It’s missing many avenues of rock ‘n roll and countless influential musicians (not to mention giving credit to many who don’t deserve it).
So, basically you cut out the birth of rock and roll and omitted the black parents? Fail.
Ouch, the lack of black musicians is a painful oversight. Bo, Chuck, Jimi, Sly, Living Color, Fishbone, and the Bad Brains for starters. Also, no Flaming Lips…What?!?!? Looks inspired by the Boston T system…that could explain a lot.
