Today at Flavorpill, when we were supposed to be busy working… we were totally creeped out by this insanely detailed Obama doll but then we read this cute interview from 1996 and felt OK again; we couldn’t believe that the Dude got in a fight at Sundnace; we vowed to never develop a Chantix habit — even smoking sounds safer; we listened to Eileen Myles read her new poem, “Iceland Melting”; we took a closer look at the inaugural platform; we were fascinated by this interview with the guy who created the icons for the New York Times for iPhone app; we were excited to see our friend Amanda ReCupido, from the 92YTribeca, recognized for her sweet tweets; we fell in love with Abigail Reynolds’ collages; we decided to avoid entering the Mr. Darcy bidding war — Jane Austen fans can be vicious; and finally, we listened to what Xeni Jardin from BoingBoing decided to play when she guest DJed for KCRW.
